How to Contribute Translations
You can help improve language support for Sodium through our community translation project. To participate, register on Crowdin if you haven’t already.
- Translate: Submit translations for phrases that haven’t been translated yet.
- Suggest: Propose improved versions of current translations for better clarity or accuracy.
- Vote: Vote on the quality of submitted translations to help highlight the best choices.
Translation Updates
New translation versions are generated every Saturday when changes are made. If you do not see your updates immediately, check back in the next release.
Troubleshooting and Requests
- Translation Issues or Uncertainty: If a translation seems incorrect or if you’re unsure how to translate a term, submit an issue on the relevant phrase in the project.
- Adding New Languages or Becoming a Proofreader: You can request the addition of a new language or express your interest in proofreading on Crowdin Discussions.
Language Support Policy
Only languages with at least one million speakers and sufficient Minecraft official translations are supported.
Fictional languages (like Esperanto), joke languages (such as LOLCAT), or minority languages currently are not included due to difficulty in moderation and verification.
Using Translations in Modpacks
You are free to include these translations in your Modrinth, CurseForge, packwiz, or other modpacks with no additional permissions required.
Except for special cases, Minecraft Resource Packs are generally backward compatible, but not forward compatible.
