Visual Vibrance Shader Overview
Visual Vibrance is a shader pack designed for Minecraft: Java Edition, aiming to replicate the “Vibrant Visuals” effect that is currently only available in the Bedrock Edition. This shader enhances the game’s visual quality by introducing vibrant lighting, color adjustments, and improved visual effects to create a more dynamic and immersive experience within Minecraft.

Development Status
This shader pack is in its alpha phase. Since Visual Vibrance was quickly forked from the developer’s earlier project, Glimmer, users may encounter unexpected bugs. Updates and improvements are ongoing to enhance stability and feature completeness.
Planned Features
- Caustics — for realistic light refractions in water scenes.
- Volumetric Fog and Water Effects — to add depth and realism to environments.
Compatibility
- Graphics Requirement: OpenGL 4.3+ is needed. This shader is suitable for most modern GPUs, whether integrated or dedicated.
- Operating Systems: Not compatible with macOS or Raspberry Pi platforms.
- Shader Loaders: Requires Iris 1.7+. Not compatible with OptiFine.
Except for special cases, Minecraft Shaders are generally backward compatible, but not forward compatible.
